Women's Wellness

Women may be equal to men, but they are not the same. BodyWorks knows women.

Physiological and psychological experiences challenge a woman over the course of her life. Our goal at BodyWorks is to educate women about their bodies and provide them with tools for a healthy lifestyle.

There are three facets of BodyWorks' approach to women's wellness:

  1. education

    We cover various topics such as stress management, the child-bearing years, osteoporosis, heart disease and arthritis.

  2. fitness training

    We instruct clients in strength training, flexibility, balance, coordination, and cardiovascular conditioning.

  3. nutrition

    We focus on healthy cooking, weight management, controlling cholesterol and meeting basic dietary needs.

Fitness programs range from 4 to 8 weeks.

Pre-natal and Postpartum Fitness

The BodyWorks' program for pre-natal and postpartum fitness enables a woman to adjust to her growing body's needs during the different phases of motherhood. Moreover, it helps her regain the pre-pregnancy level of physical condition after child birth. We recommend appropriate exercises and provide specific nutritional guidelines for meeting the needs of both mother and her baby.

Pre-natal programs vary in length as they are based on the particular stage of pregnancy.

Postpartum programs range from 6 to 12 weeks.
