How Can Fitness Improve Your Life?

Whether you want to feel better about your body and have more energy, or are experiencing a change in your health due to a recent illness or pregnancy, BodyWorks fitness programs can help you achieve your goals through highly-customized one-on-one strength and conditioning training and nutrition guidance.  Our programs are right for you if you are seeking or have experienced any of the following:

Do you want to have more energy and enjoy a higher quality of life?
Have you recently become pregnant and want to begin preparing your body and your baby for this exciting event?  Or, is your goal to regain your pre-pregnancy body?
Have you been abruptly discharged from in-patient or out-patient care following a significant illness or injury?
Do you want personalized advice and guidance for living a healthy lifestyle tailored especially for women ?

WEIGHT & NUTRITION MANAGEMENT

While each person's lifestyle is unique, typical nutrition management programs include: 

  1. A health journal to monitor your daily progress toward your goals.
  2. Personal evaluations of ways to improve your eating and diet habits.
  3. Provide guidelines for healthy nutrition and to answer your questions about what foods balances your body's needs.
  4. Comprehensive, customized fitness program. 
Most programs are 10 to 15 weeks in duration and include highly individualized assessments of health and personal coaching on exercise.

PRE-NATAL AND POST-PARTUM FITNESS

Every woman's pregnancy is different in that your health and that of your baby is unique.  The BodyWorks program for pre-natal and post-partum fitness will help you to adjust to your growing body's needs during the different phases of motherhood.  Our focus is one-on-one attention for future and new moms that want to keep their body healthy and strong.   Our program includes:

  1. Appropriate exercises will be given for the various stages of pregnancy as well as post-partum
  2. Provide you with specific nutritional guidelines for meeting both your needs and that of your baby.
Each mother's needs are different, and as such, pre-natal programs are customized based one your particular stage of pregnancy.  In order to help you recover from delivery and regain your pre-pregnancy fitness levels, our post-partum programs range from 6 to 12 weeks.

POST-REHABILITATION

These fitness programs are for clients who have experienced a significant illness or injury and need personalized, aggressive wellness following in-patient and out-patient rehabilitation care. 

This program focuses on:

  1. Establish a fitness program for maintenance and wellness to aid in your recovery.
  2. Prevention guidelines to avoid re-injury and establish guidelines in adapting to your new healthy lifestyle.
  3. Personalized strength and conditioning programs specifically designed to help you enjoy  and benefit from regular exercise regardless of your disability.

Because each person's health is unique following rehabilitation, this wellness program will be highly customized to meet your needs.

WOMENS' LIFESPAN WELLNESS

A woman's body and health throughout her life undergo physiological and psychological experiences that challenge her throughout the lifespan.  Our nutritional, health and fitness needs are different from men.  Our goal at BodyWorks is to educate women about their bodies and provide them with the tools for a healthy lifestyle.  The BodyWorks program for women includes:

  1. Education--Various topics such as the child-bearing years, stress-management, osteoporosis, heart disease, diabetes,  arthritis, and  stroke that challenge a woman throughout her lifespan.
  2. Fitness Training--receive one-and-one instruction and coaching involving flexibility, strength training, balance and coordination, cardiovascular conditioning and increasing self-esteem.
  3. Nutrition--focusing on weight management, decreasing/controlling cholesterol levels; healthy cooking techniques/recipes, and education in basic nutritional needs.
Programs for women's wellness range from 4 to 8 week sessions based on your individual needs. Our goal is to bring out the "Best" in  a Woman!
